I need some advice on image transfer.. im using a acrylic gel medium and was trying to transfer an image from a magazine.  i put down some of the gel and put the image down, burnished the back quite alot and then waited for it to dry a little bit.  But it just isnt working.

does anyone have any tips?

should i try something other than a magazine?

First Post. [16 Nov 2006|01:11am]

This is my first time doing an art journal and I was pretty limited with materials so it's a bit dull. Regular lined paper notebook, paint, rubber cement, scissors, ballpoint pen, and printed images. All of my pens kept dying trying to write over the paint. Grawrr. I need to go get some new markers. The images are of Bee Suicide and the lyrics are from the song Twilight by Elliott Smith. :)

X-Posted a few places. Sorry if you see this more than once.

Hey there internet land. I had an artistic block for a little while.. and then in the last month or so I've done some fun stuff around places. I just moved into an apartment with my sister.. and they alwyas paint over everything when you move in to an apartment and.. I couldn't handle everything being one color.. so I added this little bit in there.. it's small.. but its something to look at...

I don't like the way that the flower turned out.. but that's alright..

and then this is a page I did the other day.. it's ..uh.. simple but strong.  I think.. at least. haha.  It's an illustration of a Regina Spektor lyric.

Yup, that's all for now.

Sorry for not using an ljcut.. I figured it would be okay...

More/larger journal pages behind the cut. But this one is my favorite.
